Coimbra is an old university town situated in the centre of Portugal, between Lisbon (200 km) and Oporto (120 km), and about 35 km away from the Atlantic coast at Figueira da Foz.

Accommodation in Coimbra comes in a wide variety. There is public transport between the centre of Coimbra and the venue, at the University of Coimbra – Pólo II.

Attention: The annual academic festivity "Queima das Fitas" will take place in Coimbra from 19 to 26 May. In particular, on the 23rd there will be the student´s parade that attracts a lot of people to Coimbra. There could be also opportunities for accommodation around Coimbra.
